Privacy Policy for BrainBlocks
Effective Date: July 2, 2026
At BrainBlocks (developed by Durgesh Vaigandla at CSEdge), we take your privacy extremely seriously. We believe that your data belongs to you, and we have designed our application from the ground up to reflect that philosophy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the security measures we employ to keep your data safe.
1. Information Collection and Use
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers.
BrainBlocks operates 100% offline. We do not use any third-party analytics trackers, crash reporters, or advertising networks.
2. The Private Space (Secure Vault)
BrainBlocks includes a "Private Space" feature designed to securely store photos, videos, and files locally on your device.
- Local Storage Only: Any files you import into the Private Space are stored exclusively on your device's internal storage. They are never uploaded to the cloud, sent to any servers, or backed up by us.
- Encryption: All configurations and sensitive preferences (like your PIN) are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption via Android's Jetpack Security libraries.
- Photo Picker: We use Android's native, secure Photo Picker to allow you to import files into the Private Space. This ensures our app only gets access to the specific files you select, and we do not require broad device storage permissions (such as
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGEorMANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE).
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Because we do not collect any data, we do not share any data with third parties, marketing agencies, or law enforcement. We physically do not have access to your PINs, files, or usage habits.
4. Security & Plausible Deniability
BrainBlocks utilizes a "Decoy Mode" feature. If you enter an incorrect 4-digit PIN, the app will gracefully open a completely empty Private Space. This provides plausible deniability to protect your privacy if you are ever forced to open the application.
Please note that because we do not collect or sync your data, there is no password recovery or file backup mechanism. If you forget your PIN or uninstall the application, all data stored within the Private Space will be permanently lost. We cannot recover it for you.
5. Children's Privacy
BrainBlocks is a puzzle game suitable for all ages (Rated 3+ / Everyone). We do not knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from children under 13, nor do we collect information from any users regardless of age.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
